Wiesbaden: Russian Church

Originally uploaded by laurenz.

in Wiesbaden itself, this building is universally known as “Griechische Kapelle” (Greek Chapel).
It was, however, built for Elisabeta Michailovna, the Russian wife of the grand Duke Adolf of Nassau.
Even today, orthodox services are held in this church.

There is an interesting small Russian graveyard nearby.

El Tatio

You have to leave San Pedro de Atacama very early in the morning to reach the geysirs of el Tatio before sunrise.
It will be bitterly cold.
However, the unreal atmosphere and the colours make up for the discomfort.
The spectacle lasts only for a short while. At 10 o’clock, El Tatio still looks nice, but it has lost the magic…
Bring warm clothes and hot tea.
