Clonmacnoise Cemetary
While the monastery is no longer active, the cemetary of Clonmacnoise is still in use nowadays and very well worth a visit.

Greetings,my name is Dermot O’Brien from Teesside, England.I am trying to ascertain if my grandparents were buried at Clonmacnoise cemetary, hopefully this can be confirmed. If this is indeed the case it will be a start hopefully into researching my Irish roots. My grandfather’s name is Patrick O’Brien died November 1946,and my grandmother is Catherine O’Brien nee Caulfield died June 1953. They lived in Rahrabeg Co.Roscommon on the border with Co.Offaly.
Many thanks.
